Doing this project made me reminiscent of my childhood. It reminded me of making paintings for my mom and turkey hands near thanksgiving. This was actually a lot of fun to do and it allowed me to be be care free and forget about anything stressing me out in that moment.
This finger painting was both easy and hard. At first it was hard to overcome my desire to plan out how exactly I wanted the painting to look. However after I overcame this problem it was actually pretty easy to just let go and do whatever cane to mind.
Overall this experience was quite liberating. Doing this project allowed me to take a step away from my life for a while and made me feel like I was back to being a kid doing whatever I found fun at that time. I was able to let loose and just do whatever felt natural to me.
This type of painting is a lot different from what you usually see. A lot of the paintings that people see are realistic and very meticulously plan out but this painting was more of a “go with the flow” type of painting. This painting also has a more fun tone to it while the more realist painting have a sort of serious feel.
